What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: Feels like a good day to run a few lineups in large-field tournaments. It is tough to get away from chalk Garrett Crochet, but SP2 is a good spot to get different. I see six different guys I could roster there. From early pOWN%, it looks like Yordan Alvarez is the chalk hitter, and I can certainly get away from the lefty-on-lefty matchup and go elsewhere. I like this Houston stack all the way down the lineup, so maybe the lower part of the order is where I can get different.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. I expect to have Garrett Crochet in every lineup I make. Ideally, I’d pair him with Logan Webb, but if I need salary relief, I’m willing to move off of him. There is no MUST-have stack for me. I like Boston, but I will tread lightly, as they project to have multiple pinch-hit risks in their lineup (e.g. Nate Eaton, Rob Refsnyder, Jhostynxon Garcia). This leaves Houston as my favorite, but again, I don’t NEED them. On these small slates, I tend to homer-hunt, which typically leads me away from traditional 5-3 / 4-4 type of stacks, as I like to lean into 3-3-2 / 4-2-1-1 type of builds to get pieces of 3+ teams.

ebeimfohr: I will be focusing on smaller-field, single-entry style of tournaments, and I simply don’t see any way around rostering Garrett Crochet in those tournaments. That is far from unique, however, and his price tag has some trickle-down ownership ramifications too. So I’ll be heavily focused on playing SP2 on DK and my stacks across both sites quite a bit different from the field, which unfortunately means avoiding Astros stacks against Kyle Freeland.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

headChopper: Garrett Crochet – Easy choice. A 3.3 implied run total for the Orioles and a lefty-heavy lineup.
