Million Dollar Musings: Monday, May 29

CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first-place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
It’s Memorial Day Monday, which brings us an early start, with the main slate being a 6-gamer beginning at 1:05 PM ET. There is not much in terms of a later slate today, so I’m just going to focus on the main slate and then will drop some quick Cliff Notes with my thoughts on the 8:07 PM ET 4-gamer.
The pitching is a little dicey today, but let’s jump on in and see what we can find in the way of MLB DFS picks before we hit the grill!
Monday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

There is not a lot to get excited about on the pitching front today, and I’m going to end up very quickly settling on just going overboard with some OK chalk. We’ll find a couple kind of OK pivots, but it’s tough for me to overthink this slate.
This is what we’re looking at; try to contain your excitement!
Nathan Eovaldi at Tigers – 25% K, 4.2% BB, 2.60 ERA, 3.40 SIERA
Sonny Gray vs. Astros – 29.2% K, 9.3% BB, 1.82 ERA, 3.63 SIERA
Tyler Wells vs. Guardians – 24.8% K, 5.5% BB, 3.47 ERA, 3.93 SIERA
Taj Bradley at Cubs – 33.7% K, 4% BB, 4.44 ERA, 2.72 SIERA
Marcus Stroman vs. Rays – 21.3% K, 9.1% BB, 2.95 ERA, 4.05 SIERA
JP France vs. Twins – 20.2% K, 5.6% BB, 3.43 ERA, 4.25 SIERA
Logan Allen at Orioles– 22.6% K, 6.2% BB, 3.31 ERA, 4.03 SIERA
Matt Boyd vs. Rangers – 20.9% K, 9.6% BB, 5.74 ERA, 4.79 SIERA
Ryne Nelson vs. Rockies – 16.4% K, 6.8% BB, 5.02 ERA, 4.84 SIERA
Adam Wainwright vs. Royals – 10.2% K, 6.1% BB, 6.33 ERA, 5.74 SIERA

Nathan Eovaldi chalk as the most expensive pitcher on the slate sounds a little funny, but when you dig into it, it’s tough to call this bad chalk. He has been extremely consistent, piling up innings like the ghost of 2022 Sandy Alcantara. The dude has pitched at least eight full innings in four of his last five starts and has seven straight quality starts, with elite control and above-average strikeouts. And now he gets to face the Tigers on a day with no aces anywhere to be found. Maybe it’s weird-sounding chalk, but for me, it’s good chalk that I’ll be eating.
