CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first-place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.

Happy Wednesday! We’ve got a good looking 8-game slate tonight at the usual 7:05pm ET start time. Before we get to that, I’ll take a quick peek at the early 4-gamer on DK, starting at 1:10pm ET.

With a 4-game slate that has an obvious chalk pitcher and a Coors Field game, there is not a lot to analyze. Don’t be afraid to make some weird-looking lineups and hope for shenanigans to ensue.

I’ll be back a little later to look at some MLB DFS picks for the evening slate, but let’s start with some coffee and some Coors.

Wednesday Early Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

kenta-maeda-800x480

Kenta Maeda vs. Tigers – 28.8% K, 6.4% BB, 3.97 ERA, 3.59 SIERA
Aaron Civale at Giants – 18.2% K, 6.5% BB, 2.61 ERA, 4.72 SIERA
Johan Oviedo at Mets – 20.4% K, 9.5% BB, 4.42 ERA, 4.74 SIERA
Reese Olson at Twins – 23.1% K, 6.4% BB, 4.45 ERA, 4.00 SIERA
Tylor Megill vs. Pirates – 17.1% K, 10.7% BB, 5.64 ERA, 5.30 SIERA

Kenta Maeda is the standout skill set on this slate and should be an obvious chalky SP1. His strikeouts didn’t show up in his last start against Detroit, but he was still real-life good, with his fourth quality start in his last five and his ninth start in a row with 3 or fewer runs allowed. On this type of pitching slate, I see no reason to overthink it with him.
