MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Friday, July 4th

Opto% Stack

Atlanta Braves vs. Baltimore Orioles (Charlie Morton)

The Atlanta Braves are an enticing MLB DFS stack option against Charlie Morton, rated with the 2nd-best optimal stack rate and stack rating, and the 8th-best Value% in projections. Their implied run total of 5.12 runs underscores their offensive potential.

Morton, while seasoned, can struggle with control issues, resulting in walks, particularly to lefties, where he also shows greater susceptibility to allowing power. While Matt Olson may be poised for a great game, he’s better to be used as part of an entire stack rather than a one-off play.

The Braves stand out in projections and are a strong play vs. Morton and the O’s bullpen.

Value% Stack

Chicago White Sox at Colorado Rockies (Antonio Senzatela)

The Chicago White Sox are an interesting MLB DFS stack against Antonio Senzatela, featuring the 3rd-best optimal stack rate, 5th-best stack rating, and 3rd-best Value% according to projections. With an implied run total of 5.76, they offer solid offensive potential, especially with the advantageous backdrop of Coors Field.

Despite a slight salary increase due to the venue, White Sox players remain affordably priced, with no player exceeding $4,300 on DraftKings or $3,300 on FanDuel. This accessibility places them as a top stack choice when considering salary constraints. Against Senzatela’s limited strikeout capacity and a struggling bullpen, the White Sox lineup’s patient approach can capitalize on scoring opportunities.

While Miguel Vargas and Andrew Benintendi are notable considerations for solo play due to their consistent performance, the collective potential of the White Sox lineup makes stacking a better option.

Their balanced combination of affordability and offensive upside makes them a premier choice.
