MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Tuesday, June 17th
Opto% Stack
Yankees vs. Kyle Hendricks
The Yankees offer one of the best MLB DFS stacks against Kyle Hendricks, ranking 4th in optimal stack rate and 1st in stack rating, with a robust implied run total of 5.56. Despite a recent shutout across 11 innings on Monday night, this lineup is primed for a bounce-back against Hendricks, whose low strikeout rate and high fly-ball tendencies make him vulnerable to power hitters—especially in Yankee Stadium.
Last night’s scoreless performance, combined with a slate featuring several strong offenses, should help keep Yankees ownership more reasonable than usual. Aaron Judge remains the top spend and will likely be popular, but there is compelling value elsewhere in the lineup. Ben Rice and Trent Grisham, both with ISOs above .220 against RHP this season, profile well against Hendricks and provide affordable exposure at the top of the order. Jazz Chisholm, while lacking standout metrics in a small sample, brings upside at a weak second base position.
With this combination of power, favorable splits, and the potential for lower ownership, the Yankees are a top offense to target.

Value% Stack
Athletics vs. Jason Alexander
The Athletics stand out as a solid MLB DFS stack, ranking 5th in optimal stack rate and 3rd in Value% in our projections, with a strong implied run total of 5.5 runs. Despite recent struggles, their high team total signals significant upside, largely due to how hitter-friendly the Sacramento ballpark is expected to be during the summer months.
Jason Alexander, called up to replace Lance McCullers, is a familiar face for the Athletics, having just been claimed off waivers by the Astros from Oakland last month. The uncertainty around Alexander’s workload and the Athletics’ familiarity with him create an appealing scenario for DFS stacking. This matchup is particularly enticing for Oakland’s power bats: Tyler Soderstrom and Nick Kurtz are highlighted as prime options, with Kurtz carrying momentum from a recent walk-off home run and still offering excellent value. Brent Rooker, Lawrence Butler, and Jacob Wilson also provide strong stacking options, rounding out a versatile and affordable lineup.
With a combination of favorable projections, value pricing, and a hitter-friendly environment, the Athletics are firmly in play.
