Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Tuesday, August 25th:

Tyler Glasnow OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (+100, Novig)
Dave Roberts hasn’t been eager to go to his bullpen at any point in 2026, and tonight doesn’t figure to be any different. Glasnow was stretched out to 19 batters faced and 77 pitches during his minor league rehab stint. Notably, he was brought back for a 6th “up” in his last start, which seemed intentional.
The Dodgers probably wouldn’t be activating Glasnow from the injured list if they didn’t think he was capable of pitching into the 6th inning this evening. We have seen Blake Snell finish 6 innings in a similar situation recently. This is good value.
Paul Skenes OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-129, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSPittsburgh used 6 relievers on Monday in an extra-inning affair against the Padres. Only Luke Weaver threw 20+ pitches among that group, but it nonetheless follows that the Pirates could use some length from their starting pitcher today. There isn’t much to suggest that Skenes is on the verge of turning things around, but Petco Park is one of the league’s most pitcher-friendly venues, and the leash is certainly going to be long on a day after the team burned through nearly the entire arm barn.
Paul Skenes OVER 1.5 Walks Allowed (-135, Novig)
Skenes has not had good command in quite some time. He’s walked multiple batters in 8 of his last 11 turns through the Pittsburgh rotation, during which he’s throwing only 57.1% first-pitch strikes. The Pirates needing some length from Skenes today could actually work in favor of this wager: Skenes pushing through late-game fatigue could lead to exacerbated command issues and thus a walk or two.
