Major League Baseball has 14 games on tap for Tuesday evening, including the latter half of a doubleheader between the Rays and Yankees. We are officially in the final week of this year’s regular season, which means there is a lot of uncertainty related to starting pitcher workloads – tread carefully with any pitcher outs or strikeouts plays.
Of course, be mindful of the MLB weather report as well. It’s on the cooler side in a number of cities on the east coast and in the midwest, which could make life challenging for batters this evening.

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, September 22nd
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Tuesday, September 22nd:
- Zac Veen Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- David Fry Over/Under 0.5 Total Bases
- Nolan Arenado Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases
Zac Veen OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+125, BetMGM)
BETMGMVeen is in the 9-hole tonight, which means he will have the top of the order hitting immediately after him on Tuesday. Veen nearly always gets pulled when teams bring in a southpaw from their bullpen, but the likelihood of that occurring tonight is quite low considering Arizona only has one lefty in their arm barn – Brandyn Garcia, who has appeared in two of the last three days.
Veen has a 116 wRC+, .260 batting average, and 10.7% barrel rate against right-handed pitching in 2026. This is tremendous value in a matchup against Michael Soroka, who has allowed a fair amount of loud contact across the platoon of late.
David Fry UNDER 0.5 Total Bases (-140, BetMGM)
BETMGMFry has been one of the league’s least productive hitters against southpaws in 2026, posting a .164 batting average and an anemic 3.0% barrel rate. Tonight, he will face Payton Tolle, who has excelled to a 2.63 FIP and 1.12 WHIP against right-handed batters during the last 30 days.
Fry has been particularly poor against velocity this year, hitting .050 against left-handed fastballs faster than or equal to 95 mph. Bettors might have to sweat out a couple of plate appearances against Boston’s bullpen tonight, but Fry isn’t a good bet to get a hit against anyone right now, especially guys who can throw the pill with some velocity.
Nolan Arenado OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-110, bet365)
BET365Arenado enters play on Tuesday with a hit in 9 of his last 10 games. He’s hitting .429 during that stretch, with a 275 wRC+. Tonight, he will face Kyle Freeland, who has a 14.20 FIP and 1.80 WHIP against right-handed hitters during the last 30 days.
Arenado has been at his best against southpaws in 2026 too, hitting .265 with a 136 wRC+. Factor in the elevation at Coors Field, and this is a bet that has a great chance to cash on Tuesday.
