Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, April 8th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 12:35 PM ET on Wednesday, April 8th:

Mitch Keller OVER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-141, DraftKings)

The Padres have 6 righties in the lineup this afternoon against Keller. Since debuting in 2019, Keller owns a 3.63 FIP and 1.24 WHIP against righties, compared to a 4.39 FIP and 1.53 WHIP across the platoon. The weather this afternoon is also on the pitcher-friendly side, with the temperature near 50 degrees and a slight wind blowing in from center field. Factoring in a relatively taxed bullpen, it makes sense for Pittsburgh to see if they can get Keller through 6 innings in this spot.

Kyle Bradish OVER 14.5 Outs Recorded (-168, DraftKings)

Bradish hasn’t been good early in 2026. He has been inefficient in each of his first two turns through the rotation, leading to early exits in both starts. That said, Bradish has a track record of performing much better, and his efficiency is usually closer to the league average than what we have seen to date in the new campaign.

The weather in Chicago today is on the pitcher-friendly side, with the temperature below 60 degrees and substantial winds blowing in from right field. Baltimore’s bullpen is also a little bit taxed after having to use 4 relievers yesterday and their entire high-leverage battery the day before. The Orioles would love at least a little bit of length from Bradish this afternoon.

Kyle Tucker OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-109, DraftKings)

Tucker had a poor showing yesterday but still managed to come through for us with an RBI knock in the 9th inning to clear this number. Tucker’s presence in the 2-hole, directly behind Shohei Ohtani, is going to give him plenty of RBI opportunities this season. The talent immediately behind him in the lineup is going to give him plenty of chances to score runs. On days when the Dodgers are able to get into the opponent’s bullpen, Tucker also has a chance to get 5 plate appearances, which is a hidden value here, too. This is, once again, great value.
