Wednesday’s MLB slate features 9 evening games, including an ESPN doubleheader beginning with the Mariners against the Yankees, followed by the Rangers against the Angels.

As always, it’s important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. There aren’t any extreme forecasts for Wednesday, but there is rain in the area in a couple of places, which could be worth monitoring.

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Wednesday, August 12th!

Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, August 12th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:40 PM ET on Friday, August 12th:

Jo Adell OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110, DraftKings)

Adell doesn’t have great overall numbers in 2026, but he’s been plenty productive against southpaws, posting a 148 wRC+ and a .299 batting average. Tonight, he will get to face Framber Valdez, who is no longer one of the league’s premier pitchers.

Adell should have opportunities to contribute this evening, as he is hitting cleanup for the Guardians in a key divisional matchup.

Cal Quantrill OVER 13.5 Outs Recorded (-130, FanDuel)

Quantrill threw only 10 pitches in relief on August 8 after moving to the bullpen, but he threw 87 pitches and faced 24 batters on August 3 only 9 days ago. Consequently, he should still be plenty stretched out against the Angels.

Nathan Eovaldi was placed on the injured list earlier this week, which created an opening in the team’s rotation. Quantrill shouldn’t be on a particularly restricted pitch count tonight, especially given his veteran status and perceived expendable nature within the organization.

I have him conservatively projected for 19 batters faced and ~70 pitches tonight, with his median projection giving him even more leash to get 14 outs.

George Klassen OVER 14.5 Outs Recorded (-151, DraftKings)

The biggest challenge for Klassen in his professional career has been command. He seemed to finally be making some strides in that department after going 52 consecutive batters without a walk in his final 2 minor league outings before last week’s promotion to the big leagues.

Of course, he lost the zone completely in his return to The Show, walking 4 batters, including back-to-back hitters in a stressful 4th inning of work. He was ultimately pulled at 83 pitches, but his talent flashed with a 12% swinging-strike rate.

This is an arm that has plenty of potential. The Angels are likely to give him every opportunity to get through 5 innings tonight at home, especially after heavily using their arm barn each of the last two days.
