Major League Baseball has 15 games on tap to begin the weekend, with 14 of them scheduled for a 6:40 p.m. ET first pitch or later. Of course, that means plenty of betting opportunities on the board as well!

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Friday, July 25th!

Jazz Chisholm OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-125, DraftKings)

Chisholm has mashed right-handed pitching this year to the tune of a 159 wRC+ and .938 OPS. Tonight, he will get to face Taijuan Walker, who has struggled to a 4.50 FIP and 1.53 WHIP across the platoon in 2025. The weather is forecast to be very friendly to hitters, with winds blowing out toward right-center field around 10 mph at first pitch. Chisholm is positioned for a productive night at the dish.

Riley Greene OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135, DraftKings)

Greene is hitting only .200 with a 39 wRC+ since the All-Star Break, but he gets a good matchup against Jose Berrios, as he tries to break out of his mini-slump at the plate. This season, Greene has mashed against right-handed pitching, hitting .305 with a 165 wRC+ and .963 OPS. Meanwhile, Berrios has struggled to a 1.52 WHIP across the platoon. Greene should have opportunities to make a positive impact for the Tigers this evening.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145, DraftKings)

Guerrero is heating up – like really heating up. In his last 5 games, he’s hitting .550 with 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Tonight, he will get to face Keider Montero, who has struggled to a 4.01 ERA, 5.53 FIP, and 1.34 WHIP since the beginning of June. Guerrero is seeing the ball extremely well right now, once again giving this play good value.
