Happy Monday! It looks like Mother Nature is going to allow all 10 MLB games to play this evening, which should make for a fun start to the new week of baseball. Tonight, Yu Darvish will make his return to the bump, with other aces like Cristopher Sanchez, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Freddy Peralta, and Jacob deGrom also scheduled to be in action.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Monday, July 7th!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, July 7

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Monday, July 7th:

Richard Fitts UNDER 15.5 Outs Recorded (+100, DraftKings)

This is one of the more perplexing lines available on the board this evening. Entering play on Monday, Fitts hasn’t thrown more than 83 pitches in an MLB game since April. He hasn’t faced more than 18 batters in any big league outing in that span, either. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against the Rockies, but the weather is on the hitter-friendly side, in a hitter-friendly venue. Fitts has also struggled with his efficiency in each of his last 2 MLB appearances, averaging 4.03 pitches per batter faced. It’s difficult to see him pitching into the 6th inning in this spot, unless he’s unusually efficient at recording outs.

Noah Cameron UNDER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-135, BetMGM)

Cameron has recorded 16 outs or fewer in each of his last 4 starts, in part due to a short leash. Since throwing 102 pitches on June 10, Cameron hasn’t thrown more than 88 pitches in any outing, despite a couple of effective showings. Tonight, Cameron gets to face a Pittsburgh lineup that has struggled against southpaws, but he still might not be a candidate to pitch deep into this ballgame. During the last 30 days, Cameron is averaging an inefficient 4.2 pitches per batter faced. Pittsburgh doesn’t have a very productive offense, but they are a patient group that tends to work a fair amount of deep counts. The most likely outcome for Cameron on Monday appears to be a 5-and-dive appearance.

Jose Berrios UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-120, BetMGM)

Berrios has been struggling to miss bats of late, generating a meager 18.8% strikeout rate since the beginning of June. During that stretch, he’s allowed a 92.1% contact rate on swings at pitches in the zone and posted a worse-than-league-average swinging-strike%. This evening, Berrios could face 5 or 6 righties, which could make it even more difficult for him to collect strikeouts. In 2025, Berrios has struck out only 18% of the righties he’s faced, compared to 23.5% of the lefties he’s seen. The math favors the under here.
