Happy Monday! Today’s 7-game MLB slate begins at 6:40 p.m. ET in Miami, with the rest of the action spread throughout the evening. The final game of the night features an NLCS rematch between the Mets and Dodgers, with first pitch in that contest scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET on MLB Network.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat or unlucky if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, June 2nd

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Monday, June 2nd:

Jack Flaherty UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (+150, DraftKings)

Flaherty has been neither good nor efficient of late. During the last month of action, he has struggled to a 4.67 ERA and a 4.45 FIP, and he has averaged an inefficient 4.21 pitches per batter faced. The White Sox are a favorable matchup for Flaherty, but it’s worth noting that Chicago’s offense is a little bit less aggressive than the league-average lineup. This is important to note given that Flaherty has suffered a lot of deep counts in recent weeks. Detroit will certainly try to get Flaherty through 6 innings tonight given the state of their arm barn, but he might not be able to get that job done.

Joe Ryan UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (+155, DraftKings)

Ryan owns a 1.50 ERA across his last 36 innings of work, but there is some evidence to suggest that he’s due for at least a little bit of negative regression. During that span, Ryan has benefited from a likely unsustainable .218 BABIP, 92.4% LOB%, and some good luck with his HR/FB ratio. Ryan, a fly-ball pitcher, could run into some issues pitching in a hitter-friendly venue, with the forecast showing strong winds blowing out toward left-center field around first pitch. The under has some value.

Matt Wallner OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-105, BetMGM)

This season, Wallner has been strong against right-handed pitching, with a 130 wRC+ in 57 plate appearances. This is a continuation from last year, in which he posted a 171 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against Luis Severino, who has struggled across the platoon in 2025. Moreover, Severino has consistently allowed left-handed hitters to reach base at a higher rate than right-handed hitters each of the last 3 seasons. Waller, playing in a hitter-friendly venue, should have a good chance to accumulate some counting stats at the plate.
