Happy Monday! Tonight’s 9-game MLB slate once again features plenty of warm, hitter-friendly weather, which should make for an entertaining evening of baseball. The action begins at 6:35 p.m. ET in Baltimore, with the rest of the games spread throughout the night, ending with a pair of West Coast contests.
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.
Below, you can find my 3 picks for Monday, June 23rd!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, June 23rd
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Monday, June 23rd:
- Eduardo Rodriguez Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
- Matthew Liberatore Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed
- Jack Kochanowicz Over/Under 16.5 Outs Recorded
Eduardo Rodriguez OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-125, DraftKings)

Rodriguez has quietly put together 3 consecutive strong starts, during which he owns a 2.81 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. He hasn’t been missing a tremendous number of bats, but he’s done a good job missing the barrel and avoiding hard-hit balls in play, which has allowed him to dramatically outperform some of his underlying metrics. He gets a relatively favorable matchup against the White Sox, an offense that has been more aggressive than league average against southpaws in recent weeks. Rodriguez has faced at least 21 batters in each of his last 3 turns through the rotation, and he was stretched out to a season-high 98 pitches in his most recent start. If he’s somewhat effective on Monday, he should have an opportunity to pitch into the 6th inning.
Matthew Liberatore OVER 2.5 Earned Runs (-130, bet365)

Liberatore enjoyed a strong start to the 2025 campaign, but the wheels have fallen off of the proverbial wagon of late. In his last 4 starts, he owns a dreadful 8.10 ERA, 4.62 FIP, and 1.60 WHIP. He’s not missing many bats, which makes it all the more troublesome that he’s allowed a staggering 14.9% barrel rate and 55.4% hard-hit rate in that span. The Cubs haven’t been the strongest offense against left-handed pitching in recent weeks, but this is a great matchup for them, and the hitter-friendly weather in St. Louis only increases the likelihood of them being able to tag Liberatore for a few runs.
Jack Kochanowicz OVER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-120, FanDuel)

Kochanowicz finds himself positioned for success this evening, facing a Boston team that is in the midst of an unenviable travel spot, going from one West Coast city to another as part of a 9-game road trip. In June, Kochanowicz has struggled to a 6.48 ERA, 7.03 FIP, and 1.62 WHIP, but this is a good matchup for him, pitching against a free-swinging and likely fatigued Boston lineup. The Angels’ arm barn also used Connor Brogdon, Brock Burke, and Hunter Strickland for 21+ pitches each on Sunday, so they would probably like to get some length from Kochanowicz if possible.
