MLB Player Props Today

Luis Matos u0.5 Strikeouts (-125), DraftKings

At some point, sportsbooks will appropriately adjust the price on Luis Matos in this market. Until then, we will continue including this play in our articles on a frequent basis. Since July 7, Matos has struck out in only 6.4% of his total plate appearances. This evening, he will face Paul Blackburn, who has five strikeouts or fewer in four of his last five turns through the rotation. Trust Matos once again to at least make contact.

Bryson Stott u0.5 Strikeouts (+120), DraftKings

Seemingly every time we have trusted Bryson Stott this year, he has delivered. Yesterday was no different, giving us the confidence to run things back with him again on Saturday despite a tougher matchup. On Saturday, Stott will face Alec Marsh, who owns a 29.0% strikeout rate against left-handed batters in a small sample size in 2023. Stott rarely whiffs, ranking in the 95th percentile among qualified hitters, making him an appealing option at plus money in this spot.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Jose Ramirez Less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks

Regardless of matchup, Jose Ramirez is always a fairly good option to avoid striking out. Entering play on Saturday, Ramirez ranks in the 99th percentile among qualified hitters in strikeout rate. Tonight, he will face Michael Kopech, who has struggled to a 5.95 FIP against left-handed batters this year. Despite Kopech’s high-end swing-and-miss stuff, Ramirez is a trustworthy option today.
