As a result, the betting community has plenty of time to find value on the open market throughout the rest of the day.

Since July 15th, the St. Louis Cardinals rank a respectable 12th in strikeout percentage against left-handed pitching despite the fact that they have faced Jesus Luzardo and Justin Steele during that time period. Today, the Cardinals get a much easier matchup against Austin Gomber, who has struggled to a 5.68 ERA, 5.75 xERA, and a 5.32 FIP this year. Moreover, Gomber ranks in only the 7th percentile in strikeout percentage, 8th percentile in whiff rate, and the 10th percentile in chase rate among qualified starters. The under is a solid play on Sunday.
Luis Matos u0.5 Strikeouts (-110), DraftKings
Yesterday, Luis Matos struck out. Since July 7th, Matos has not struck out in back-to-back games, during which he has struck out in only 7.4% of his plate appearances overall. Today, Matos will face Luis Medina, who has a dreadful 51.1% first-pitch strike percentage across his last four trips to the mound. Matos is a good bet to make contact each time he steps in the box this afternoon.

Amed Rosario Less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks
Entering play on Sunday, Amed Rosario has struck out in only 14.4% of his plate appearances against left-handed pitching. Tonight, Rosario will face Rich Hill, who ranks in the 24th percentile in strikeout percentage, 7th percentile in whiff rate, and the 11th percentile in chase rate among qualified pitchers in 2023. Simply, this is a dream matchup for Rosario from a contact perspective – trust him to get the job done for us to close out the week.
