Happy Tuesday! All 30 MLB teams are scheduled to be in action as part of a 15-game slate, which begins at 6:35 PM ET in Baltimore with the Rangers taking on the Orioles.
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, June 24th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Tuesday, June 24th:
- Tarik Skubal Over/Under 20.5 Outs Recorded
- Jameson Taillon Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed
- Riley Greene Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Tarik Skubal UNDER 20.5 Outs Recorded (-105, DraftKings)

Skubal has been masterful of late, with a 0.74 ERA, 1.48 FIP, and 0.72 WHIP across his last 5 starts. That being said, he’s been a little bit lucky during that span, benefiting from a likely unsustainable .241 BABIP and 88.9% strand rate. He also hasn’t allowed a home run in that span, which is a little bit fortunate, even for someone who excels at limiting barrels. The Athletics have been firmly league average against LHP across the last 2 weeks, so this isn’t a pushover matchup for Skubal. Detroit also had yesterday off, so the arm barn is fully rested behind him as well. There are a number of ways in which Skubal could fall short of completing 7 innings.
Jameson Taillon OVER 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-125, DraftKings)

Taillon has good numbers on the surface this season, but he ranks in only the 41st percentile in xERA, doesn’t miss many bats, and allows a lot of contact in the air. That is a bad recipe for a pitcher on a night in which the temperature is approaching 100 degrees, with a slight breeze blowing out towards left-center field. The Cardinals have been elevating the ball well against RHP in recent weeks too, ranking 6th in fly-ball rate since June 10th. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Taillon struggle.
Riley Greene OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-140, bet365)

This season, opposing pitcher Luis Severino has struggled to a 4.06 FIP and 1.55 WHIP against lefties. Tonight, that means that Greene has a favorable matchup in his home ballpark – possibly even more so on a night with the temperature near 90 degrees. Greene has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season against RHP, hitting .321 with a 175 wRC+. This is great value.
