There have already been a pair of games postponed, but as of now, Major League Baseball still has 13 games on tap, beginning at 6:10 PM ET in Cleveland with the Brewers taking on the Guardians. That means a full slate of options for the betting community as well!
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.
Below, you can find my 3 picks for Tuesday, May 13th!

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, May 13th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:10 PM ET on Tuesday, May 13th:
- Kyle Freeland Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
- Jack Leiter Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Kyle Freeland OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-152, FanDuel)
Freeland certainly isn’t an ace, but he is consistently one of the most efficient pitchers in the big leagues. His inability to miss bats, coupled with his willingness to compete in the zone, means that he rarely sees deep counts against hitters. Across the last 2 weeks, the Rangers have been an underwhelming offense against southpaws, with an 80 wRC+ (which ranks 16th). Freeland should have a chance to work relatively deep into this ballgame.
Jack Leiter OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (+100, BetMGM)
Leiter was stretched out to 90 pitches against the Red Sox in his most recent outing, recording 16 outs in the process. This evening, he gets one of the most favorable matchups possible, hosting the Rockies. Texas is likely to ask Leiter for as much length as they can get from him, given that they have relied heavily on their high-leverage relievers in recent days. If Leiter is even mildly effective, he should have a chance to come out for the 6th inning.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135, BetMGM)
Vlad has been swinging the bat well of late, with a .296 batting average and 127 wRC+ across his last 14 games. During that stretch, he’s hit safely in all but 1 game. Tonight, he gets to face Shane Baz, who has struggled to a 5.02 FIP and 1.30 WHIP against righties to begin this season. Vlad should be able to find his way on base at least once, if not multiple times. This is good value in a favorable matchup at home.
