MLB PrizePicks Predictions Today: Top Plays for Sunday, June 30th
Traditional MLB DFS formats aren’t the only way to profit from daily fantasy baseball. MLB PrizePicks is a great fantasy pick’em site where we can take today’s projections versus theirs and combine two or more baseball predictions for sizeable payouts.
In this space, we’ll explore a few PrizePicks plays for the upcoming MLB slate. This article isn’t the be-all, end-all of great plays or a recommendation for a full ticket; it’s simply a starting place for you to explore thinking about the game within the game. Maybe you want to scatter these plays across entries. Maybe there are only two or three you think are worth playing. Daily fantasy pick’em gives us the flexibility to make only the plays in which we think there is value rather than being forced to create a full lineup while competing against the best DFS players in the industry.
PrizePicks is daily fantasy baseball made simple, and our MLB PrizePicks picks tool makes the process even simpler.

MLB PrizePicks Predictions for Sunday, June 30th
- Lance Lynn LESS Than 17.5 Outs, 5.5 Strikeouts, and 30.5 Fantasy Points
- Ranger Suarez MORE Than 6.5 Strikeouts (DEMON)
- Garrett Crochet LESS Than 1.5 Walks
Lance Lynn LESS Than 17.5 Outs, 5.5 Strikeouts, and 30.5 Fantasy Points
Lance Lynn LESS than predictions occupy 3 of the top 4 plays on the board according to our pick ‘em tool. Lynn went 6.2 IP against the Braves in his last start but didn’t surpass 5.1 in any of his previous 4 starts, indicating that his leash is very short unless he’s rolling. In those 4 starts, sure, he was knocked around for 4 ER against the Phillies, but also 4 against the Rockies, 3 against the Pirates in Busch Stadium, and 6 against the Marlins in Miami. This isn’t a good pitcher anymore.
Without the volume, it’s very difficult for Lynn to compile Ks. He’s hit 6 Ks just once in his last 11 starts, posting just a 21.7% K rate. Add all of this together, and it’s difficult for Lynn to get to 31 fantasy points. We have Lynn projected for 27.2 fantasy points on 5.2 Ks in 15.6 outs. PrizePicks also has Lynn projected for just 4.5 hits allowed, whereas we have him projected for 5.9, so there’s yet another play against Lynn.
Ranger Suarez MORE Than 6.5 Strikeouts (DEMON)
The Marlins are really bad — and worse against lefties. They have just a .235 wOBA and .086 ISO to go with a 24.5% K rate against southpaws. Overall, Miami swings at 37.7% of pitches out of the zone, which leads MLB. Ranger Suarez has found a lot of Ks this season, upping his K rate to 26.1%. We have Suarez projected for 5.9 Ks on the day on 92 pitches in what seems like a ceiling situation, so the DEMON boost is pretty clutch here.
Garrett Crochet LESS Than 1.5 Walks
Garrett Crochet is averaging just 1.91 BB/9 this season. His 5.4% BB rate is in the top 15 in the league, and he gets to face a Rockies team that chases a lot of pitches outside the zone too. Their 35.7% swing rate outside of the zone ranks 2nd worst behind the Marlins, while Crochet throws 47.2% of pitches in the zone — tied for 6th in MLB — while he induces a 2nd-best 15.3% swinging strike rate. Outside of Coors, the Rockies are unlikely to draw multiple walks on most days, especially against one of the best pitchers in the league with some of the best command. Crochet for LESS than 1.5 walks allowed is a top 8 play according to our pick ‘em tool.
All projections referenced are accurate at the time of writing but subject to change.
Our pick ‘em tool doesn’t indicate a ton of edge on this slate, so these Lynn plays are gonna come in handy. Also, DEMON boosts aren’t in for total bases yet. We like the Braves’ power righties against Bailey Falter for those plays, along with probably any good Brewers against Kyle Hendricks and Royals against Logan Allen.
