In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 51-41-1 (55.4%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

MLB Parlay Piece for July 17, 2023
- Gleyber Torres 2+ Total Bases
- Shohei Ohtani 3+ Total Bases
- Over 10.5
Gleyber Torres 2+ Total Bases (+115)
Against right-handed pitching this season, Gleyber Torres owns a .270 batting average, .758 OPS, and a 111 wRC+ – all numbers that are significantly better than they are against southpaws. Tonight, he will face right-hander Griffin Canning, who has struggled to a 5.49 FIP and allowed a .260 opponent batting average against right-handed hitters in 2023. At plus-money, this is good value on Torres to produce multiple total bases.
Shohei Ohtani 3+ Total Bases (+150)
Is there anything this guy cannot do? Yesterday, we trusted him to get us two total bases, and he delivered with a moonshot in the bottom of the ninth inning. Tonight, he has an even more favorable matchup against Luis Severino, so we are trusting Shohei Ohtani to get us three total bases. Severino has been abysmal against left-handed batters this year, allowing a .302 opponent batting average and posting a 6.02 FIP to go with a 1.70 WHIP. Do not be surprised if Ohtani leaves the yard once again.
Over 10.5 (+165)
Today’s matchup between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels features two of the least productive starting pitchers of the season to date. Luis Severino has allowed seven earned runs in back-to-back outings and has only one start since May in which he has allowed fewer than three earned runs. Griffin Canning has allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last two turns through the rotation and has a problematic 50% first-pitch strike rate since June 17. Simply, runs should not be hard to come by in Anaheim on Monday – take the alt-over here.
