This evening, the MLB week will come to a close with a Sunday Night Baseball matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EST on ESPN.
In the last two weeks alone, we have cashed a +758 parlay, a +837 parlay, and a +711 parlay. During that stretch, we have also fallen one leg short of cashing four additional longshot parlays by only one leg.
Not counting the All-Star Game, we have cashed eight tickets in this article, narrowly missed 26 winners, and had 21 tickets seemingly dead on arrival. Playing long shot parlays each day, these results are within the parameters of what is expected. As we highlight every day, these plays have been exceptionally profitable if played as individual tickets.
In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable. Overall, these plays are 93-76-1 (55.8%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

MLB Parlay Piece for August 20, 2023
- Zack Wheeler u6.5 Strikeouts
- Trevor Williams u4.5 Strikeouts
- Nick Castellanos 3+ Total Bases
Zack Wheeler u6.5 Strikeouts (-126)
During the month of August, the Washington Nationals own the 9th-lowest strikeout rate of any team in baseball against right-handed pitching. According to props.cash, only one of the last nine right-handed pitchers to face the Nationals have totaled seven strikeouts. Zack Wheeler has gone under this market number in each of his last three outings, and there is a greater than 50 percent chance that the streak grows to four after tonight against Washington.
Trevor Williams u4.5 Strikeouts (-142)
The Philadelphia Phillies are not thought of as a high-contact offense, but they have held their own as of late, ranking 14th in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching in August. Since July 19, Williams has only recorded five or more strikeouts in one of his five trips to the mound. In 24 starts in 2023, Williams has only eclipsed this market number eight times, creating a tremendous amount of value on the under in this spot, especially given the proximity factor of this matchup.
Nick Castellanos 3+ Total Bases (+200)
Trevor Williams has struggled mightily against right-handed hitters this season, to the tune of a 5.87 FIP. In only 55.2 innings against right-handed batters, Williams has allowed 15 home runs and 12 doubles. Nick Castellanos has been better against southpaws in 2023, but he has still been adequate against same-handed hurlers. Facing an inferior opponent on Sunday Night Baseball, this is a worthwhile inclusion in today’s long shot parlay.
