Wednesday’s MLB action began earlier today under the sun in the nation’s capital, but there is still plenty of baseball left to be played today! One of the more exciting matchups of the evening slate features the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on ESPN. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.

Not counting the All-Star Game, we have cashed five tickets in this article, narrowly missed 17 winners, and had 15 tickets seemingly dead on arrival. Playing longshot parlays each day, these results are within the parameters of what is expected.

In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 58-49-1 (55.0%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

Below, we break down our favorite longshot (+2200) look for July 26, focusing on today’s matchup between the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox!

MLB Parlay Piece for July 26, 2023

Boston Red Sox Moneyline (+130)

The Boston Red Sox are in fourth place in the American League East division, but they are much better than their division ranking. On the season, Boston has a +47 run differential and is seven games above the .500 mark. Playing at home, they are 29-23, and tonight they get to turn to Brayan Bello, who owns a strong 3.49 FIP and a 1.29 WHIP at Fenway Park in 2023. At plus money, this is worth including in today’s longshot parlay.

Matt Olson 3+ Total Bases (+165)

If there is one area where Brayan Bello struggles, it is against left-handed batters. Entering play on Wednesday, Bello has a 5.48 FIP and has allowed a .276 opponent batting average across the platoon. Playing in the hitter-friendly confines of Fenway Park, Matt Olson is positioned well to do some damage in this matchup.

Spencer Strider 10+ Strikeouts (+135)

The Boston Red Sox have a high-contact lineup, but at this point, the matchup doesn’t matter for Spencer Strider. Facing a high-contact Arizona Diamondbacks lineup in his most recent start, Strider had 13 strikeouts with a strikeout-averse umpire calling balls and strikes. Strider has lost three games this season for the Atlanta Braves and has double-digit strikeouts in each of those outings. His ability to get swings and misses is simply not correlated with run prevention.
