Monday Night Football Betting Picks: Bengals at Steelers

Week 4 of the NFL season concludes with a Monday Night Football matchup between two struggling AFC North rivals. Both the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers are winless through the first three weeks of the NFL season. Barring a tie, that will change Monday Night.
Online sports betting sites favor Pittsburgh by 3 to 3.5 pointsand the Over/Under is set at 45 points.

There’s a new team atop the AFC North standings following the Cleveland Browns’ road win in Baltimore. Monday night, however, the Bengals and Steelers will battle to see who sits alone at the bottom of the division.
Terrible Towel sightings have been scarce following Ben Roethlisberger ‘s season-ending elbow injury. Mason Rudolph didn’t look bad after an impromptu call to the field in Week 2, but his first start of 2019 season left Steelers fans pessimistic as the second-year quarterback tallied only 174 yards against the 49ers. With the passing game dormant, the 49ers defense zeroed in on stopping the running game. James Conner was held to 43 yards on 13 carries.
Most concerning is the fact that Pittsburgh lost 24-20 despite winning the turnover margin by three. In Week 4, Rudolph will likely be without TE Vance McDonald, who missed three consecutive practices as a result of a shoulder injury.
The Bengals injury woes have contributed to their rough start as well. Cincinnati entered the season without quarterback Andy Dalton ‘s favorite target A.J. Green and have endured additional losses on the offensive and defensive lines.
One of their biggest weaknesses is stopping the run. The Bengals defense is giving up an average of 125 yards per game, which sets up well for the Steelers who look to lean on their running game with Roethlisberger on the sideline.
While the Steelers will want to attack on the ground, the Bengals are likely to air it out. So far this season, Cincinnati has passed on almost 75% of their plays. Dalton is throwing for 325 yards per game without A.J. Green. This bodes well for Dalton and his receivers Monday night, as the Steelers are giving up the third most yards through the air.
Terrible Towels may come out early at Heinz Field, but by the end of the night, Bengals backers will be happy and Cincinnati might even walk away with the road win.
