NFL Week 13 concludes Monday night as the Seattle Seahawks host the Minnesota Vikings. Online sports betting sites favor Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks by 3 points and the Over/Under is at 49.5. The outcome Monday night could mean the difference between a Wild Card spot and home-field advantage for both teams come January.

Monday Night Football Betting Odds — Vikings vs. Seahawks

Spread: Seahawks -3

80% of bets are on the Seahawks, per VegasInsider.com.

Over/Under: 49.5

71% of bets are on the Under.

Since receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen called out their 84-million quarterback after a Week 4 loss to the Bears, the Vikings have gone 6-1. The rise of Kirk Cousins has turned what once looked like a one-dimensional offense into one of the most prolific offenses in the league, even without their no. 1 receiver for four of the last five weeks. Minnesota is now a half-game back from the Packers in the NFC North, and with +2000 odds to win the Super Bowl at US sportsbooks, are legit contenders to represent the NFC at Hard Rock Stadium in February.

The Seahawks have had a smooth season to date, winning nine of their first 11 games. Their two losses come at home against the Saints and Ravens, but Pete Carroll’s team managed to steal one on the road in Week 11, beating the 49ers 27-24. With the 49ers losing to the Ravens on Sunday, a win will move the Seahawks to first place in the NFC West and in prime position to lock down a bye in the playoffs.

Monday Night Football Betting Picks — Vikings vs. Seahawks

Seattle’s 12th Man is daunting, but surprisingly, it hasn’t helped out Seattle backers much in 2019. Both of Seattle’s losses have come at home, albeit against two of the best teams in the league, and the Seahawks are 1-4 ATS at home overall. On the other side of things, Kirk Cousins is 0-7 on Monday Night Football while Russell Wilson is 23-8-2 ATS in prime-time games over his career.

As it appears less than 12 hours before kickoff, the public expects the bright lights of Monday Night Football to be too much for Kirk Cousins. 70% of bettors at PointsBet are on the Seahawks, where Seattle is laying 2.5 points Monday morning. If you plan on betting Seattle, you’ll want to use our PointsBet promo code to get these odds along with two risk-free bets up to $1000.

As for me, I’m sticking with the hot hand of Kirk Cousins and the lethal running game of Dalvin Cook. Minnesota’s defense, led by head coach Mike Zimmer, hasn’t been as stout as we expected, but the Vikings defensive line should be able to get the best of Seattle in the trenches. The Seahawks offensive line is allowing pressure on Russell Wilson on 40% of pass plays (31st) , resulting in an 8% Sack% (25th), and keeping their MVP candidate clean a league-worst 57.63% of the time. That doesn’t bode well against a defensive line that ranks in the top-third of each of those categories. Granted, Wilson has proven that Seattle can still win even while allowing pressure to the quarterback, but the matchup Monday night is similar to the two matchups Seattle lost. In addition to backing the Vikings +3 at Draftkings (use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds) I also like Under 49.5. Even though the Vikings defense has proven to be vulnerable through the air, Seattle will lean on the run to alleviate the problems they’re likely to see when it comes to the Vikings pass, and Minnesota will turn to Dalvin Cook to quiet the 12th Man, especially with Thielen sidelined.

My MNF Betting Picks: Minnesota Vikings +3 (-118); Under 49.5 (-110)

Monday Night Football Betting Picks — Player Props

Chris Carson Under 71.5 Yards (-115) at PointsBet – Last week Rashaad Penny got the bulk of Seattle’s carries, rushing for 129 yards on 14 attempts and more than doubling his best performance of the season. On Wednesday Carroll said “we are going to see if we can get more out of Penny.” Moreover, Carson hasn’t rushed for more than 60 yards in his last three performances.

Stefon Diggs Over 74.5 Yards (-112) at FanDuel – Diggs is getting 7 targets a game since Week 6. Diggs also finished with over120 receiving yards in four of his last six games.
