NBA DFS Lineup Advice Today
There are 8 games on the NBA schedule for Thursday, but Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Jamal Murray can be as questionable as they want to be without impacting the main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings, because both sites have cut off the last 2 games of the night. We’re left with a 6-game main slate starting at 7:00 PM ET when Milwaukee visits Charlotte (Bucks -12, 218) and Utah visits Orlando (Magic -6.5, 225.5). Paolo Banchero is questionable for the Magic and Walker Kessler is questionable for the Jazz, although Banchero did make shootaround for Orlando.
At 7:30 PM ET, Atlanta visits Brooklyn (Nets – 1.5, 223), where Ben Simmons is listed as questionable, and Golden State is in Madison Square Garden against the Knicks (Warriors -4.5, 222), who have Jalen Brunson listed as questionable. An hour later OKC is in San Antonio (Thunder -11, 238), with neither team having an injury to report.
The last game of the main slate tips off at 9:00 PM ET, when the Rockets travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns (Suns -8.5, 232). Bradley Beal and Eric Gordon are questionable for Phoenix, while Jalen Green was downgraded today to questionable with an illness for the Rockets.
Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.
Top NBA DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel
High Flyers
Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
Victor Wembanyama
FanDuel: $11,600
DraftKings: $10,100
Wembanyama has seen his price increase, but his minutes have been increasing as well. Last game, he played more than 34 minutes for the first time since November. Wembanyama may someday cause fantasy sites to change their scoring system. He has averaged 5.3 blocks over his past 6 games along with 23 points and 2.7 steals, and he has gone over 73 DK points twice. Now his minutes are increasing.
Kevin Durant
FanDuel: $9,600
DraftKings: $9,700
Durant could have a bit more of the offense on his plate tonight with Beal and Gordon both questionable, and Houston has slipped a bit defensively, allowing the 10th-most points per game over each team’s last 10 games compared to the 12th-fewest points per game on the season. Durant has faced Houston twice already this season, averaging 27.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 12 assists per game. He is easier to fit on FanDuel where he is $100 cheaper and eligible at both forward positions, but he is in play on either site for tournaments.
Site Specialists
Just like a good 3-and-D small forward, sometimes a player fits the specific need we have on the specific site we’re playing on. These are the guys that stand out on one particular site:
