NBA DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have a 5-game slate lined up for Tuesday night, and with the last game of the night tipping off at 9:00 PM ET, we thankfully have the same slate on both sites with all games included.

Things tip off at 7:00 PM ET with two games, as Houston visits Washington (HOU -9.5, 228.0) in a rematch from last Thursday, while Charlotte is in Orlando to take on the Magic (ORL -12.5, 202.5). Kyle Kuzma is listed as questionable while Deni Avdija, Tyus Jones, Eugene Omoruyi, and Bilal Coulibaly are all listed out for Washington, so this matchup could look very different on the Washington side from the game last week. In the CHA/ORL game Tre Mann is questionable for the Hornets.

At 7:30 PM ET, we see the Pelicans take on the Nets in Brooklyn (NOP -8.0, 215.0) with Dorian Finney-Smith questionable for Brooklyn. And 30 minutes later, we see Dallas face the Spurs in San Antonio (DAL -9.0, 234.5), with Zach Collins out (but Dominick Barlow in) for the Spurs.

The last game of the night tips off at 9:00 PM ET, with Denver traveling to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves (DEN -7.5, 213.5). This is the game with the most potential impact from injury news, with Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid, and Anthony Edwards all questionable for Minnesota on the second half of their back-to-back. Edwards played last night while Rudy Gobert sat and Naz Reid drew the start. However, Reid sustained a head injury during the game and was unable to start the second half.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

Top NBA DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

High Flyers

Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:

Jalen Green
FanDuel: $7,900
DraftKings: $8,100

Jalen Geen’s price on FanDuel has finally seen an increase after appearing in this article over the past two iterations as a site-specific play, but it still isn’t high enough to match his production on either site for a matchup with Washington. Green sees the biggest usage increase (+8.0%) and leads the Rockets in overall fantasy production (44.6 DK points per 36 minutes) with Alperen Sengun off the court this season. The Wizards allow the most points, assists, and rebounds per game in the NBA, and Green put up 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists against them last week.

Victor Wembanyama
FanDuel: $11,400
DraftKings: $10,600

Victor Wembanyama is finally playing more minutes as the season draws to a close, perhaps giving us a preview of how he might break fantasy basketball in future seasons. Wembanyama is averaging over 32 minutes per game in March, putting up averages of 21.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 4.5 blocks, and 2.0 3-pointers made per game over 6 games this month. The Mavericks allow the 9th-most points and the 5th-most rebounds per game in the NBA, and Wembanyama’s blocks potential make him an excellent tournament choice, perhaps for years going forward.

Nikola Jokic
FanDuel: $11,900
DraftKings: $12,100

I’m adding a bonus High Flyer tonight with some of the uncertainty in the DEN/MIN matchup for the last game of the night. Jokic might be facing an excellent defensive center tonight (Rudy Gobert), but he can score well in any matchup, putting up 26.0 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists per game against Minnesota in their playoff series last season. With Gobert questionable, along with back-up center Naz Reid, it’s possible Jokic will be facing a team with Luka Garza as their only center. I don’t mind the idea of starting my night overweight on Jokic with at least one other player from the DEN/MIN game in my lineup and swapping down from Jokic to Gobert if Gobert is in, using the savings to upgrade the other spot on my roster. I like this matchup much better for Jokic if both centers are out for Minnesota, and I like the flexibility to swap down to one of the Minnesota centers if only one of them is available.

Site Specialists

Just like a good 3-and-D small forward, sometimes a player fits the specific need we have on the specific site we’re playing on. These are the guys that stand out on one particular site:
