Happy Wednesday!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I love Wednesdays. We always have a good NBA slate; it’s the day before the start of the PGA TOUR event each week (this week we have the Texas Children’s Houston Open), and it’s getting close to the weekend. We also have Sweet 16 games to look forward to tomorrow night.
We have 6 games on the schedule tonight, and they are all included on the main slates for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Even though there are only 12 teams in action, it feels like we have enough injuries for all 30 teams. Let’s dive into the team previews!

Team Previews
Washington Wizards (at PHI)
We kick off the slate with the Wizards, who draw a nice matchup against the Sixers. The tank is on in Philadelphia, and they are now bottom 5 in rebounding rate and defensive rating. The Wizards have a team total that is 5 points higher than their season average. Malcolm Brogdon, Bilal Coulibaly, Kyshawn George, Corey Kispert, Khris Middleton, and Marcus Smart are all out, while Anthony Gill is listed as questionable.
With the injuries and the Wizards moving more toward a young rotation, there are several intriguing options here. Tristan Vukcevic has topped 30 fantasy points in 4 of his last 7 games and is cheap on both sites. Alexandre Sarr has topped 35 fantasy points in 5 of his last 7 games and has a nice matchup against Philly. AJ Johnson has flashed upside recently, Carlton Carrington is capable of nice outings, and Colby Jones is only $3,400 on DraftKings.
Philadelphia 76ers (vs. WAS)
The Sixers draw an elite matchup against the Wizards, who are bottom 3 in points allowed per game, defensive rating, and rebounding rate. The Sixers are 3-point favorites (!!) and have a team total that is 6 points higher than their season average. Andre Drummond, Joel Embiid, Paul George, Eric Gordon, Kyle Lowry, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre, Lonnie Walker, and Jared McCain are all out.
Justin Edwards is getting more expensive, but this is an elite matchup, and he has topped 30 fantasy points in 5 straight games. There’s some sticker shock with the price point of Quentin Grimes, but he has 50+ fantasy point upside at relatively low ownership. Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin are worth a look in large-field tournaments. This game has serious upside if it stays competitive.
