NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, April 6

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Victor Wembanyama
headChopper: Victor Wembanyama
TJ Zwarych: Deni Avdija (FD) / Victor Wembanyama (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. The Pistons are expected to be without Cade Cunningham, Tobias Harris, Duncan Robinson, and Isaiah Stewart. They still have a lot to play for, and they have a decent matchup against the Magic. The Cavaliers are going to be without Max Strus, James Harden, and Donovan Mitchell. They also have something to play for. I want to be overweight on both of these shorthanded teams.

headChopper: I prefer small-field GPPs with limited entries. With the season winding down, I am trying to manipulate the projections by forcing in some of my own narrative. Some of these games are setting up to have big variance because of standings. I am downgrading the Knicks because I don’t think they really want to win out if they have the option. I think they would choose falling to the 4th or even 5th seed to avoid the Celtics later and maybe even the Sixers in the first round. Atlanta wants to win. Cleveland is the same for me as the Knicks, which is why I am upgrading their role players. I like the Spurs’ projections to hold steady, as I think we get maybe another game or two before they shut it down after wrapping up the 2nd seed in the West.

TJ Zwarych: My preferred tournament format tonight is large-field GPPs, and I’ll likely play 150 lineups in those contests. I’ll be loading up on the Cleveland and Detroit value tonight to spend up for Victor Wembanyama and a balanced build around him. I’ll have at least one of Dennis Schroder and/or Sam Merrill in every lineup.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
