NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, May 11
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Cade Cunningham
headChopper: Cade Cunningham
TJ Zwarych: Chet Holmgren
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. The key to the slate is playing the OKC/LAL game correctly. If the game is competitive, the starters on the Lakers should all play huge minutes, with this being an elimination game at home. However, if they get down big early, they could easily wave the white flag. Given the way the Thunder have played all postseason, I would rather play into the blowout angle. I’m planning to stack the Pistons and target a couple of players on the Cavaliers (most likely Max Strus and Jarrett Allen).
headChopper: I prefer small-field tournaments for this slate. I want to make a narrow player pool that includes only 2 or 3 Lakers. Theoretically, this should have been such a great matchup for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander that I am still holding on to him having a big game, but for tonight, I see an avenue where the Lakers mail it in and this turns into an OKC blowout, so having a build in mind that attacks that scenario feels right for me.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry tournaments, and I’ll be fading a lot of the chalky pieces in the primary game. While I want to get to Cade Cunningham and Donovan Mitchell, I have no interest in James Harden, Evan Mobley, Jalen Duren, or Tobias Harris. I’ll instead utilize Chet Holmgren and Austin Reaves as my secondary spend-ups from the 2nd game.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
