NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, May 13

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
squirrelpatrol: Jayson Tatum
kmurray03: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Evan MobleyJarrett Allen has been dealing with a rib injury that has kept him out the last couple of weeks. He didn’t go through shootaround this morning, so there’s a decent chance the Cavaliers will be without him once again. Mobley has quietly played well in this series, averaging 34 minutes and 40 fantasy points per game. Since he’s starting at center (with Allen out), he is matched up with Al Horford. It’s a good spot for Mobley at home, and he’s checking in at 5% pOWN% on DraftKings and 23% on FanDuel.

squirrelpatrol: Donovan Mitchell – Mitchell is the cheaper of Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and also has the lower pOWN%. He has been taking on a massive amount of the offense, however, averaging 35.3 points per game over his last 6 games. He also had large home/road splits this season, averaging 29.7 PPG at home compared to 23.9 on the road. Game 4 is being held in Cleveland, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Mitchell is the highest-scoring player on the slate.

kmurray03: Caris LeVert – LeVert is coming off of two solid performances, as both his minutes and usage rate have been very encouraging recently. If Jarrett Allen does remain out, LeVert should continue to have a solid role where he can play 26-29 minutes and have a usage rate in the high-20s.
