What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

tcsmith031: I like the larger FanDuel slate for large-field tournaments, while I’ll focus on single-entry stuff on DK’s smaller slate. Early optimals are producing lots of lineups featuring both LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers dealing with some injuries. While I think pairing them is totally fine in an elite matchup at Utah, a simple max-1 rule should be enough to make a GPP build a little different. They’re far from the only expensive pieces worth targeting on a slate with Nikola Jokic, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and several others in solid spots.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry on both sites tonight. I like going overweight on Dalton Knecht, who is still reasonably priced and is getting a starting role in the Lakers offense. I also like going overweight on Anfernee Simons, who has gone back-to-back games with over 40 fantasy points, and he is getting big minutes and usage in this offense. He hasn’t been getting the ownership like I think he should, and he is a great tournament play.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll only be playing single entry tonight, and I plan on being overweight on the pairing of James Harden and Ivica Zubac, even in a tough matchup against Denver. They seem to be lower owned than they should be each night, . I’ll save salary in the Mavs vs. Blazers game while also trying to spend up for Anthony Davis.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
