NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, February 8
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
tcsmith031: Kawhi Leonard
Krayton: Kawhi Leonard
TJ Zwarych: Kawhi Leonard
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
tcsmith031: I’ll focus on single-entry tournaments. Miami is a strong source of value in an elite matchup against the Wizards, while we could also have some value on the Washington side. Game stacks of that one could come together pretty easily. It has the highest total on the board, and there’s at least some blowout risk in every game on the DK slate. On what could be a low-scoring slate, I don’t mind getting as much exposure to the Heat side as possible. Their 123.5 implied team total is easily the highest of the afternoon. I’ll likely have multiple Heat pieces in every lineup.
Krayton: I will be playing just one lineup across a handful of single-entry contests. With FD including the NY/BOS game, I will be looking to get a couple of plays from that game even though it has a lower total, as it’s projected to be close. I like the idea of building around Jaylen Brown and Jalen Brunson (or another Knicks piece) and then utilizing quite a few pieces from Miami, including one of the top cheap value plays, Davion Mitchell. On DK, I want to mix in a few guys who should be a little lower owned, like Rudy Gobert, Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley, to get a little different.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry contests. I’ll be stacking up Miami and using Kawhi Leonard as my main spend-up. I’ll fade the chalky Norman Powell and Bam Adebayo and stick with the cheaper options for the Heat. On FD, I want to get to Jaylen Brown as well, but on DK, I like the idea of sticking in the midrange and targeting Brandon Ingram as a secondary spend.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
