What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I love the Rockets and the Suns tonight. The Rockets are without Tari Eason and could be without Alperen Sengun. With it being a late game, we might get that news after lock. The Suns draw an elite matchup against the Wizards, who are 29th in points allowed per game.

Bobby Gomes: I will make 3 – 5 lineups for large-field tournaments and start by loading up on the Wolves/Spurs game that boasts a close spread (-2.5 MIN) with an implied game total over 234. Most notably, I like Julius Randle, Anthony Edwards, and Donte DiVincenzo. I will have either Jalen Johnson or Jamal Murray in every single build, as they lead the charge in the absences of Trae Young and Nikola Jokic, respectively.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup. I want to keep an eye on this Jamal Murray situation. If he plays, he’s my favorite spend-up option. However, if he’s out, I’ll want to load up on this Nuggets team. There are multiple games starting at the same time or later, so I’ll likely ignore the first two games to keep maximum flexibility.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
