NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, February 26

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Joel Embiid
Dean78904: Brandon Miller (FD) / Zion Williamson (DK)
tcsmith031: Jrue Holiday (FD) / Zion Williamson (DK)

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I am focusing my attention on small-field tournaments. My plan of attack is to load up on the POR/CHI game. Both teams play at a fast pace, struggle defensively, and are missing key players. My 1-3 lineups will come preloaded with Matas Buzelis, Jrue Holiday, and Scoot Henderson.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. The 7 worst teams in defensive rating are playing tonight, and I want attack them – notably Sacramento, Utah, and Washington. When picking between two players, a matchup versus a putrid defense will be my tiebreaker. I expect to play a Hawks player in every lineup I make. I don’t expect to play anyone in the HOU/ORL game.

tcsmith031: I’ll play both 20-max and single-entry tournaments. This looks like a rare slate in which a balanced build may be a more popular approach than the stars-and-scrubs path. It’s understandable, with Zion Williamson, Donovan Clingan, Matas Buzelis, and a host of others standing out at midrange price points. However, there is still more than enough cheap value to make it easy to find the extra cash to pay up for Luka Doncic or Victor Wembanyama. It likely won’t take a ton of exposure to get over the field on both Luka and Wemby, which is a route I’ll take with a chunk of my portfolio in larger-field tournaments.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
