NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, April 22
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Cade Cunningham
ncorfield8k: Cade Cunningham
tcsmith031: Cade Cunningham
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. It’s not going to take much to be different from the field. Tobias Harris is projected as the top value play on the board and is probably going to garner 50% ownership or more (especially in small-field contests). Fading him will immediately set my lineups apart from a large chunk of the field. I know he had a nice outing in Game 1, but Duncan Robinson was in foul trouble. I don’t want to bank on Harris playing 35 minutes again or him seeing a 25% usage rate again. His game log is full of floor performances, so hopefully we get another one tonight.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – Grayson Allen hasn’t played in nearly 2 weeks, and Jordan Goodwin got hurt in Game 1. Both are questionable on the NBA injury report. I will be making lineups as though both are going to miss. This will mean getting to a lot of Royce O’Neale and Collin Gillespie. If Allen ends up being active, it likely won’t impact my plan significantly, as I doubt he would play much. If Goodwin ends up in, it’s easy enough to pivot a lot of my exposure to OKC guys in a similar price range (Ajay Mitchell, Cason Wallace, Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, Isaiah Joe, Jaylin Williams).
tcsmith031: I like this slate for single-entry and 5-max GPPs. I think it makes sense to implement a max-1 rule for Tobias Harris and Ausar Thompson, who are projected to be among the most popular value plays on the slate. It’s an aggressive approach, but you’re eating an awful lot of ownership by pairing them, and you’ll be forced into a similar build to much of the field.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
