NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, November 20

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Stevietpfl: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Dean78904: Giannis Antetokounmpo
ncorfield8k: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Nikola Vucevic – Nobody is going to click on Vucevic tonight, even though this is a good spot and we have plenty of value to choose from. The Bucks have struggled to defend the 3-point line and have struggled on the glass this season. Those are two of Vucey’s biggest strengths. This is one of the best game environments, and he pairs nicely with Giannis Antetokounmpo on the other side. I don’t put too much stock into stats against a particular team, but Vucevic has topped 40 fantasy points in 7 of his last 8 games against Brook Lopez.

Stevietpfl: Damian Lillard – I think Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to be very popular, and while I think he’s a great play, I think Lillard is an excellent tournament pivot. Chicago is playing at the fastest pace in the NBA, and they’re 25th in defensive rating. In the last 2 pace-up games for Lillard, he had a usage rate over 30% and had 47.5 and 59.5 DK points. The game against Chicago earlier this season was one of the fastest-paced games for Milwaukee, and Lillard had a 31% usage rate. He scored 28 points in that game, while shooting only 3-for-12 from behind the arc. I think he has a massive ceiling in this pace-up game.

Dean78904: Robert Williams or Donovan Clingan – Both are fantastic FPPM players, with Clingan at 1.21 FD / 1.11 DK this season and Williams at 1.5 FD / 1.44 DK. The two Blazer bigs will likely split most of the 48 center minutes vs. the Thunder, who have been the worst rebounding team in the league, as they don’t have a traditional big in their rotation. My brain tells me that Clingan starts but likely gets played off the court in favor of Williams (who I prefer), as his game fits better vs. OKC. But also, maybe that isn’t how it plays out? Both of these players can get you home with just 20-25 minutes, and they should both be in your large-field GPP pool. Reminder: absolutely do not play them together, as they negatively correlate.

ncorfield8k: Robert Williams – Williams is a fantastic point-per-minute fantasy player with volatile minutes. The efficiency could be even better against the Thunder, who have the worst rebounding rate in the league. Williams is always live to get extra minutes at the expense of Donovan Clingan foul trouble, as Clingan averages 6.2 fouls per 36 minutes and could struggle with a quick Thunder team.
