NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, April 12
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Luka Doncic (if active)
squirrelpatrol: Jordan Poole
Bobby Gomes: Nikola Jokic (FD) / Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (DK)
Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Anthony Edwards – He rarely garners as much ownership as the other superstars, and it looks like he’ll get overlooked once again. The Wolves are in a battle for the top seed in the West, so they will do everything in their power to win tonight’s game. They have an elite matchup at home against the Hawks and come into the game with a team total that is 7.6 points higher than their season average (best mark on the slate).
squirrelpatrol: Jordan Poole – Washington has been resting their most veteran players, like Kyle Kuzma and Tyus Jones, but they keep playing their player who was the biggest disappointment to start the season, Poole. The team may be trying to get his confidence and numbers up as his first season as a Wizard comes to a close, and that gives some certainty to Poole that isn’t available in other spots. Poole has averaged 23.6 points and 9 assists per game in his 5 April games compared to his season averages of 17.4 PPG and 4.4 APG.
Bobby Gomes: Victor Wembanyama – On a massive slate like tonight’s, ownership will likely be spread out, and I am loving the Joker/Wemby tandem in my lineups. There will be plenty of cheap pieces on the slate that will have heavy workloads to make it work. Wemby’s range of outcomes is wide as he continues to adjust to the NBA, but his upside is already as high as anyone’s. He dropped 75+ fantasy points the last time these teams played, and their games this season have all remained relatively close.
