A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Congratulations to all of the Ravens, Chiefs, Niners, and Lions fans out there.
We have 8 games on the docket in the association this evening. Three teams are playing in the second half of a back-to-back (Magic, Celtics, Suns), so we’ll have to keep an eye on their injury reports. We have one late game on the schedule. FanDuel and DraftKings have both decided to leave it off their main slate, which means we have seven games to focus on this evening.
Believe it or not, I turn 37 years young today. I remember being one of the youngest content producers in the industry at one point, and now I’m well on my way to 40 and have a son who’s 8 years old. Unlike most of my friends, I don’t view getting older as a negative. You are only as old as you feel, right? My plans for tonight are simple — I’m going to my favorite restaurant with my family and will hopefully celebrate with a great night of NBA DFS.
Let’s dive into this 7-game slate.

Team Previews
Milwaukee Bucks (at DET): We kick off tonight’s slate with the Bucks, who are 29-13 on the season with a point differential of +4.0 per contest. They have been beatable on the road but shouldn’t be in any danger of losing against the Pistons. This is an elite matchup for fantasy production, and the Bucks come into the game with a team total that is 4.9 points above their season average. As is usually the case, Damian Lillard (1.26 DK / 1.21 FD) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (1.68 DK / 1.65 FD) lead the way in terms of RGValues in the projections. Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez can be mixed into large-field tournament builds.
Detroit Pistons (vs. MIL): The Pistons are only 4-38 on the season and have a point differential of -10.6 per game. The good news is that they are at home and playing in a nice matchup, as the Bucks are 4th in pace and 22nd in defensive rating. Even with Cade Cunningham (doubtful) expected to miss this game, the Pistons have a team total that is 5.1 points higher than their season average. Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren both project as strong point-per-dollar plays, as they have averaged 43 and 36 fantasy points over the last 4 games. Bojan Bogdanovic has flashed some upside this season, and Alec Burks is a capable producer off the bench if you want to look their way in tournaments. We need to keep an eye on Isaiah Stewart, who is listed as questionable.
