NBA DFS Core Plays LIVE: Sunday, February 4th

A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.
We’ve got a busy schedule of hoops action on tap for Sunday with a total of 9 games on tap. A couple of those games will go down in the early afternoon, but we’re here to talk about the 7-game main slate tipping off at 6 PM ET. The Bucks are the only team on this slate that also appeared on last night’s docket, while we’ve got a few teams set to play the front half of a back-to-back set.
Let’s see what mayhem we have in store for today, shall we?

News Updates
Here’s where I’ll update for news.
Team Previews
Memphis Grizzlies (at BOS): We’ll start things off with one of the slate’s bigger on-paper mismatches. The injury-plagued Grizzlies are listed as massive 18-point underdogs tonight in Boston. We’ve added Jaren Jackson to the list of absent Grizzlies alongside Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia, and Brandon Clarke. Xavier Tillman is listed doubtful. Vince WIlliams and John Konchar are both questionable. If the questionable guys sit, Memphis will be down to 10 active bodies, including luminaries like Matt Hurt, Trey Jemison, and Tosan Evbuomwan. Jacob Gilyard started and played a big role on Friday with Scotty Pippen in the G League, though Pippen could be back tonight. I’ll have interest in Santi Aldama, David Roddy, and Vince Williams (if he’s in), but it’s hard to get a firm read on this team with the uncertainty. Keep an eye on the news updates section later once we get more clarity.
Boston Celtics (vs. MEM): Jaylen Brown is questionable for the Celtics tonight, but he’s the only name on the Celtics’ injury report. I’d say they don’t need Brown to get past this ragtag Grizzlies bunch, but Boston did lose at home earlier in the week to a Lakers lineup without LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Brown sitting would clear more usage for Derrick White (+6.3%), Jayson Tatum (+4.8%), Jrue Holiday (+3.9%), and Kristaps Porzingis (+3.3%), and I’d have no qualms about getting to any of them individually in a GPP build. Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser could have paths to more playing time, as well. I’m always happy to fade Hauser in tournaments at ownership, but he’d be a passable cash option if he starts.
