A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career, and Noto will mix it up in all different types of contests. So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Wow, what a wild night in the National Basketball Association. Joel Embiid dropped 70 actual points on the Spurs, and shortly after, Karl-Anthony Towns put up 62 actual points against the Hornets. Sure, they were two of the best matchups possible, but those are some incredible performances. I somehow managed to target Embiid in my main lineup and still fall short of the cash line. I know, I know, it was an impressive feat on my end.

We now turn our attention to Tuesday night. There are only 5 games on the schedule, so we have a little more time to dive into each of the teams. We have a couple of superstars that have already been ruled out, so there is plenty of value to choose from. This should be a fun slate to break down, so let’s dive right into it.

Team Previews

Denver Nuggets (at IND): We kick off the slate with the Nuggets, who are 30-14 on the season with a point differential of +5.0 per game. Tonight they travel to Indiana to take on the Pacers, who are 2nd in pace and 27th in defensive rating. Even if the Nuggets try to slow the pace down on their end, they will naturally have a few more possessions than usual, given the matchup. They come into the game with an implied total that is 7.1 points above their season average.

The Nuggets should be at full strength tonight. Nikola Jokic always seems to project the best of anyone on the team and that’s the case again tonight. He had a stretch where he lacked upside, but he has scored 79 and 63 fantasy points in his last 2 games. This is one of his best matchups to date. Jamal Murray has averaged 42 fantasy points over his last 4 games and should benefit from the increase in pace. The rest of the Nuggets are a bit tougher to predict. Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter are priced appropriately, but I don’t mind looking to Reggie Jackson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as values.

Indiana Pacers (vs. DEN): The Pacers have lost 5 of their last 10 games but are hoping their new acquisition can take them from being an average team to one that could contend for home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. They have a difficult fantasy matchup tonight against the Pacers, who are 28th in pace and 11th in defensive rating. The Pacers have an implied total that is 5.5 points below their season average.
