Los Angeles Lakers (Record: 2-11, Road: 1-6)
The Lakers are only 2-11 on the season, but hey, they have two more wins than the Sixers. Lakers’ fans at least have something to hang their hats on. While we know that the Warriors’ winning streak will eventually come to an end, I would be absolutely SHOCKED if the Lakers were the team to do it. There is a reason why the Lakers are 17-point underdogs tonight on the road.
- Golden State Warriors Defense
Points Allowed Per Game: 100.1 (12 of 30)
Defensive Efficiency: 96.8 (5 of 30)
Rebounding Differential: 2.6 (8 of 30)
Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game: 192.3 (10 of 30)
The Warriors’ defense has faltered a bit recently, but they are still ranked 12th or better in points allowed per game, defensive efficiency, rebounding differential, and fantasy points allowed per game. The Lakers have an implied team total of 98.3 points tonight, which is the second lowest on the schedule. There is only one fantasy option that I am interested in here, can you guess which player it is? No, it’s not Larry Nance, Jr., good guess though. It’s D’Angelo Russell. His minutes and production are both trending in the right direction. He has averaged 24.7 fantasy points per game over his last five and his minutes should be secure even in a blowout.

Golden State Warriors (Record: 15-0, Home: 8-0)
The Warriors are now 15-0 on the season. This is the best start that a defending champion has ever had in the history of the NBA. They have had some close calls, but tonight should be one of their easier games of the season. They get to face the struggling Lakers at home.
- Los Angeles Lakers Defense
Points Allowed Per Game: 105.4 (27 of 30)
Defensive Efficiency: 106.6 (28 of 30)
Rebounding Differential: -4.3 (26 of 30)
Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game: 213.1 (28 of 30)
The Lakers are one of the top teams to target for fantasy production. On the season, they are ranked 26th or worse in points allowed per game, defensive efficiency, rebounding differential, and fantasy points allowed per game. The bad news is that the Warriors are 17-point favorites. While I love the spot for the Warriors, this game could be over by halftime. The good news is that the Warriors don’t play again until Friday, so Luke Walton may let his starters stay out there for a few extra minutes tonight.
