Happy Friday, Grinders! We have an exciting weekend of NBA hoops action on the docket, and we’re psyched to continue our strong run of DFS prop success. All week, we have been crushing NBA props and raking in the cash, going 13-of-16 the past three days on PrizePicks, Underdog Fantasy, and Thrive Fantasy. Now we are headed back to Monkey Knife Fight to kick off the weekend in style.

MKF is easy peasy, with multiple ways to win. With “More or Less,” you pick the over/under on two players and props, and win three times your buy-in if you hit on both. With Rapidfire, you select one player from two listed head-to-head matches for two different stat categories, and win three times your buy-in if both your players finish with the higher amount. With Triple Doubling, you select three players you think could register a triple-double, and cash if you hit (1.2x if one triple-doubles, 3x if two, 20x if three).

Let’s dive right in, and take a look at our favorite props for Friday night hoops!

NBA Player Props for Today

All props are from Monkey Knife Fight. All stats are from Pro Basketball Reference.

More or Less (MIN at OKC)

Gilgeous-Alexander has been on a tear as of late, but Minnesota has one of the scrappiest defenses in the Western Conference. So, even though the fourth-year guard has averaged 33.5 points per game over his last four, I’m going with his UNDER here. The Wolves stifled SGA in back-to-back games in early January, holding him to 19 points and 12 points, respectively. And with OKC point guard Tre Mann and big man Isaiah Roby both enjoying recent breakouts, I’m guessing Gilgeous-Alexander stays out of the 30s tonight. Look for SGA’s former Clippers teammate Pat Beverley and his new allies to be quite the pests on D.

As for Towns, I don’t think the Thunder have anyone in the front court who can contain him. The three-time All-Star just exploded for 39 points in a 15-point thrashing over the Warriors, his second 39-point game in Minnesota’s last half-dozen games. KAT only managed 17 and 19 when these squads met earlier in the season, but OKC’s depth chart wasn’t nearly as depleted back then. Go with the OVER for Special K.

Rapidfire (MIL at CHI)

Points: Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER DeMar DeRozan (Bonus: +1.5 Points)

Nikola Vucevic OVER Bobby Portis (Bonus: +1.5 Rebounds)

I don’t care about either of the bonuses in these props, as there’s a reason each underdog is getting a stat handicap. Giannis has been raking lately—even when limited to seven points in the first half against Miami the other night, he ended up with 28 points. And DeRozan and the Bulls have cooled down recently, after the veteran’s torrid streak of 37-point games ended and fellow wing scorer Zack Lavine returned from injury. Giannis had 30 points on 11-of-23 shooting the last time these squads met, while DeRozan had 35. But Lavine wasn’t active then, leaving a void the size of 24.5 points per game. I think Giannis dominates the scoring and rebounding this evening, leaving scraps for his opponents as well as his teammates. So, Bobby Portis might be held in check on the glass, too. Vucevic may not be the most demonstrative rebounder, but he averages 11.6 boards per game and finished February with a monstrous 12.4 rebound average. These two behemoths should take down these props with ease tonight.

Triple Doubling

This may be the hardest prop contest to win at Monkey Knife Fight, but it’s probably my favorite. I love trying to pick players to triple-double, and watch along as I track each players stat counts. Harden has been pouring it on since becoming a Sixer, clearly gelling with MVP candidate Joel Embiid and young stud Tyrese Maxey. The Beard is always a threat to rack up double-digits in multiple categories—he has ten triple-dubs on the season (third in the NBA)—and he should get up against the Cavs, who hold the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. As for Giannis, I already told you I see him lighting it up against the third-seeded Bulls at the United Center. The two-time MVP has been gobbling up stats, and could easily nab his fifth triple-double of the campaign. Then there’s rookie and No. 1 pick Cunningham, who has two triple-dubs on the year and just posted a 22-point, 12-rebound game in Toronto. The young, offensive-minded Pacers have no chance of slowing down the talented young guard. Cade may be a longshot for a triple-double tonight, but I’m fairly confident that one or two of these three players will come up big for you. And nobody’s sneezing at a 1.2x or 3x multiplier! Good luck this evening and have fun!
