Happy Wednesday! The NBA has 14 games on tap for this evening, including an ESPN double-header beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Per usual, the NBA injury report is littered with big names. Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, Josh Hart, and Chet Holmgren are the most notable names who have already been ruled out.
As always, be sure to use tools like CourtIQ and our NBA starting lineups page to evaluate how injuries impact usage and to search for inefficiencies in the player prop and DFS markets.
Below, you can find 3 of my favorite picks for Wednesday, November 4th!
Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, November 4th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday, November 4th:
- Matas Buzelis Over/Under 12.5 Points
- Payton Pritchard Over/Under 18.5 Points
- RJ Barrett Over/Under 21.5 Points
Matas Buzelis OVER 12.5 Points (-120, BetMGM)
Buzelis was limited to only 23 minutes on Monday against Philadelphia after he got into foul trouble, but this is a player who has seen as many as 35 minutes this season in competitive game scripts, so it’s a safe expectation to project him for more court time on Wednesday.
Buzelis has scored at least 17 points in each of the 3 games this season in which he has played 25+ minutes. If he can stay out of foul trouble tonight, he should have every opportunity to clear this number.
Payton Pritchard UNDER 18.5 Points (-105, bet365)
Jayson Tatum has been ruled out tonight for Boston, but that doesn’t necessarily mean bettors should expect a mammoth performance from Pritchard in his absence.
Pritchard is averaging only 28 minutes per game this season and has only once played more than 30 minutes regardless of who has been available for Boston.
According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Pritchard is averaging 18.3 points per 28 minutes this season with Tatum off of the floor. This market number is priced well, but there is an obvious risk of a blowout, which could further reduce Pritchard’s court time.
There is value on the under at nearly even money.
RJ Barrett UNDER 21.5 Points (-105, bet365)
Barrett has scored 20+ points in 6 of his 7 trips to the hardwood this season, but much of that success has been propelled by favorable matchups against poor defenses.
The Bulls (29th), Magic (25th), Lakers (21st), and Clippers (20th) rank 20th or worse in defensive rating this season. Denver (23rd) has similarly struggled on the defensive end of the floor early in the season, but they have allowed the 10th-fewest above-the-break 3-point attempts in the league, which is where nearly all of Barrett’s long range attempts come from.
If Barrett is going to clear this number, he’s likely going to have to do it on less volume than what we have seen from him in recent games.
