NBA Player Props Today – Friday, December 13, 2024

Nikola Jokic UNDER 31.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)

Nikola Jokic scored 56 points last Saturday and followed that performance with another 48 points on Sunday, which is part of the reason that his market number is so high tonight. That being said, he’s only scored 32+ points in 8 of his 19 games played so far this season, including only 4 of 10 home games. The Clippers enter play ranked 6th in the NBA this year in defensive rating while playing at the 8th-slowest pace in the league. It can be psychologically tough to take an under on an elite player, but the math favors the under.

Evan Mobley UNDER 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115, BetMGM)

According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, Evan Mobley was doing some individual work off to the side following this morning’s shootaround. This comes only a few days after Mobley suffered a left ankle sprain against the Heat. Head coach Kenny Atkinson said Mobley is going to try to play through the ailment, but indicated that the team would pull him if there is any lingering pain or discomfort. Cleveland enters play an NBA-best 21-4 this season and can afford to be cautious with Mobley. It wouldn’t be surprising to see his efficiency suffer a little bit, and his minutes could be slightly reduced as well. There could be value on the under in a matchup against the lowly Wizards, a game in which the Cavaliers are unlikely to need Mobley to push much beyond 30 minutes.

Devin Booker UNDER 6.5 Assists (-138, FanDuel)

Devin Booker posted 7 assists in each of his last 2 games, but he only had 11 potential assists in each of those contests and has only 1 game with more than 11 potential assists in his last 5 trips to the hardwood. The Jazz have one of the league’s worst defenses, but they do play at a significant altitude, which is an underrated challenge for role players who are playing on the road in these situations. The Jazz have been near the league average in terms of opponent 3-point percentage and opponent assists allowed to guards when playing at home this year. Booker’s teammates could make it hard for him to pile up assists this evening.
