NBA Player Props Today – Friday, November 3
- Donovan Mitchell Over/Under 31.5 Points
- Stephen Curry Over/Under 28.5 Points
- Ben Simmons More/Less Than 16.5 Rebounds + Assists
Mitchell Over/Under 31.5 Points
Do we have any evidence that the players care about this in-season tournament more than they care about normal regular season games? We do not, at least not yet. Nevertheless, many sportsbooks are pricing player prop lines for star contributors as if their head coaches will be doing everything in their power to win these games. Donovan Mitchell has enjoyed a sensational start to the new campaign, shooting a career-best 51.1% from the field and 90.9% from the free throw line while playing a career-high 35.8 minutes per game. Still, he is averaging only 31.5 points. The Pacers enter play on Friday ranked dead-last in defensive efficiency, but that number is heavily skewed after allowing 155 points to the Celtics earlier this week. Through their first three games, Indiana ranked 14th in defensive efficiency, which included a matchup against the Cavaliers. Mitchell is going to have a difficult time maintaining this elite level of scoring, making the under on his points prop an appealing look to begin the weekend.
- PICK: Mitchell UNDER 31.5 Points (-113), FanDuel
Curry Over/Under 28.5 Points
Stephen Curry is averaging 31.0 points per game ahead of tip-off on Friday, but his average is skewed by two games in which he scored 40+ points. In his other three games played, Curry has failed to eclipse 27 points or play more than 32 minutes. It appears as though Steve Kerr is being extremely mindful of the minutes Curry is receiving this year, with his minutes per game being the lowest of his career, excluding two injury-shortened seasons. Oklahoma City ranks 11th in opponent three-point percentage this season and was 15th in that category last year. Assuming Kerr treats tonight like any other game, Curry has a good chance of going under this market number.
- PICK: Curry UNDER 28.5 Points (-102), FanDuel
Simmons More/Less Than 16.5 Rebounds + Assists
Ben Simmons is enjoying a renaissance campaign for the Nets, which is likely to continue as long as Nic Claxton is out of the lineup. In four games played, Simmons is averaging 10.3 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. He has eclipsed this market number three times and is yet to total fewer than 16 rebounds + assists in any contest. The Bulls rank in the bottom-half of the NBA in defensive efficiency, opponent rebounds per game, and opponent assists per game so far this season. Simmons is well-positioned for another strong performance on Friday night.
- PICK: Simmons MORE THAN 16.5 Rebounds + Assists
