NBA Player Props Today – Friday, October 25, 2024
- Santi Aldama Over/Under 9.5 Points
- Miles McBride Over/Under 10.5 Points
- Mikal Bridges Over/Under 15.5 Points
Santi Aldama OVER 9.5 Points (-140, FanDuel)
Santi Aldama was a prime breakout candidate heading into the new campaign, and he showed up in a big way on opening night, scoring 27 points on 16 field goal attempts for the Grizzlies. It’s safe to assume he won’t shoot 50% from beyond the arc for the entire season, but 31 minutes and plenty of volume from the floor are both extremely strong signs pointing to sustained production. Jaren Jackson is likely to be on the sidelines again this evening as well, making it difficult to pass up on an opportunity to get Aldama at such a low number.
Miles McBride OVER 10.5 Points (-115, DraftKings)
The Knicks didn’t have a typical game script on opening night, losing by 23 points to the Celtics. Nonetheless, it was noteworthy to see Miles McBride explode for 22 points in only 26 minutes of action. Though his efficiency from the floor will undoubtedly regress as the season goes on, there’s likely to be more than enough opportunities for him in this offense to routinely score in double figures. McBride scored at least 12 points in each of his 3 preseason contests and had 16+ points in 3 of his final 4 playoff games this past May. This is great value for a player who is clearly thought of very highly by the New York coaching staff.
Mikal Bridges UNDER 15.5 Points (-110, FanDuel)
Mikal Bridges scored 16 points in his Knicks debut on Tuesday, but he didn’t exactly calm the nervous system of fans who were worried about the newfound hitch in his jump shot. Bridges scored all 16 of his points in the second half of that contest after the game was well out of reach, making 7 of 8 field goals after the break. There have been reports that Bridges is actively trying to correct his shooting mechanics, but until he does, this is pretty good value considering how many mouths there are to feed in the New York offense. Even if Bridges plays reasonably well, there is no guarantee he goes over this line.
