NBA Player Props Today – Monday, December 11, 2023

Tyrese Maxey Over/Under 26.5 Points

Entering play on Monday, Tyrese Maxey is averaging 27.1 points per game for the season, including 27.4 points per game in 11 contests in front of his home fans. Tonight, he gets an extremely favorable matchup against the Wizards, which rank 27th in defensive efficiency and 3rd in pace across the last month of action. During that stretch, Washington has allowed 27 points to Immanuel Quickley, 32 points to Jalen Brunson, 34 points to LaMelo Ball, 31 points to Damian Lillard, 26 points to Cade Cunningham, and 26 points to Tyrese Maxey. Suffice it to say, this is a dream matchup for a point guard, especially after having multiple days of rest between games.

Fred VanVleet Over/Under 8.5 Assists

During the month of November, Fred VanVleet averaged 9.8 assists and 14.8 potential assists per game, both of which ranked in the top-four of the NBA during that time period. In December, VanVleet is averaging only 6.3 assists through three games, but he has still seen a healthy 15.0 potential assists per game in those matchups. The lack of conversions to actual assists has been a direct result of facing tough defenses that do a good job disrupting passing lanes – the Nuggets, Thunder, and Lakers. Tonight, VanVleet gets a much more favorable matchup against the Spurs, which have allowed the 4th-most opponent assists per game across the last 30 days. Playing at home, this is a worthwhile look to begin the new week.

Chet Holmgren Over/Under 1.5 Three-Pointers Made

Chet Holmgren is currently in the midst of one of his worst shooting slumps as a professional, having gone 2-for-17 (11.8%) from beyond the arc in his last four games. On the bright side, he is still shooting 37.1% from downtown this season, suggesting that positive regression in this department is imminent. Holmgren could experience that positive regression as soon as this evening, facing a Jazz defense that ranks 22nd in opponent three-point attempts and 24th in opponent three-point percentage across the last month of action. At plus-money, there are few wagers on the board this evening with more value than this one.
