NBA Player Props Today – Monday, January 8, 2024

Chet Holmgren Over/Under 18.5 Points

Entering play on Monday, Chet Holmgren has some of the most stark home-and-aways splits of any player in the NBA. In 19 home games, he is averaging 18.7 points on 56.7% shooting from the field, compared to 15.8 points on 51.1% shooting in 15 road games.

Tonight, Holmgren gets an ostensibly favorable matchup against the Wizards, but this market number is likely still too high. Despite ranking 28th in defensive efficiency across the last month, the Wizards have defended opposing centers well, having not allowed more than 17 points since December 21st. The under is worth a small stab in this spot.

Malik Beasley Over/Under 2.5 3-Pointers Made

According to CourtIQ, Malik Beasley is averaging 3.1 made 3-pointers per 36 minutes of action this season with Damian Lillard off of the floor. Tonight, Beasley gets an extremely favorable matchup against the Jazz, who rank 27th in opponent 3-point attempts and 18th in opponent 3-point percentage during the last 30 days. Beasley leads the Bucks in corner 3-point attempts per game and is 2nd in above-the-break attempts without Lillard on the floor. He should have every opportunity to get the job done here.

Alperen Sengun Over/Under 22.5 Points

Alperen Sengun has been sensational this season with Dillon Brooks out of the lineup, averaging 26 points per 36 minutes of action, but he draws an extremely tough matchup to start the week. During the last 30 days, the Heat have allowed the 6th-fewest opponent field goal attempts per game in the restricted area and the 8th-fewest opponent field goal attempts per game in the paint, the two areas of the floor where Sengun attempts the vast majority of his shots. He is likely to have limited opportunities in this matchup, making his under worthy of consideration.
