Darius Garland Over/Under 19.5 Points
Darius Garland picked up 4 fouls before the half yesterday against the Heat and finished with only 9 points in 22 minutes after head coach JB Bickerstaff benched the entire Cavaliers’ starting five in the second half. Tonight, Garland has a nice bounce-back opportunity, facing a Hornets defense that has allowed 21+ points to Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey, and Cole Anthony in the last 2 weeks alone. Garland has been at his best at home this season, averaging 19.2 points per game on significantly better shooting splits compared to the road. This is a worthwhile risk on Monday evening.

Nikola Jokic Over/Under 26.5 Points
The Nuggets are favored by 15 points tonight against the Grizzlies. Though bettors obviously can’t assume that a team will cover the spread, it’s worth noting that Nikola Jokic has covered this market in only 2 of 10 home games this season when Denver has won by 15+ points. Dating back to the beginning of last season, Jokic is only 11-for-32 to the over at this market number in blowout victories. Memphis’ defense around the rim has been respectable since the All-Star Break, ranking 4th in opponent field goal percentage in the restricted area and limiting opponent attempts in the paint overall. The under makes sense in this spot.

Kevin Durant Over/Under 24.5 Points
This month, Kevin Durant is averaging 26.0 points per game, but his average is inflated as a result of a scorching-hot stretch from March 5 to March 11, in which he scored 35+ points in 4 consecutive contests. Since that point, Durant has scored fewer than 25 points in 5 of 6 games, with the exception being a 25-point performance on a night in which he shot 12-for-16 from the field. Simply, the volume hasn’t been there for Durant of late, with him seemingly content to take a more egalitarian role in the team’s offense. This market number is still likely too high, given recent results.
