NBA Player Props Today – Monday, March 4, 2024

Deni Avdija Over/Under 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Our friends Chuck and Grant from ScoresAndOdds are already on this play today, and for good reason. Since Daniel Gafford was traded in early February, Deni Avdija is averaging 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 36 minutes per game for the Wizards. Playing in 7 games during that stretch, Avdija has only one game in which he recorded fewer than 24 points + rebounds + assists, and it came in a matchup against the defending champion Nuggets. Tonight, he gets a much more favorable matchup against the Jazz, which rank 22nd in defensive rating and 8th in pace since the All-Star Break. The Jazz have also been victimized by opposing power forwards of late, allowing 6 of 7 players at the position to clear their market number for points + rebounds + assists since the break. The over is a strong look here.

Malik Beasley Over/Under 10.5 Points

Malik Beasley scored only 4 points on 1-for-7 shooting this past Friday against the Bulls, but he has a great bounce-back opportunity this evening against the Clippers. Since the All-Star Break, the Clippers rank 20th in defensive rating and around the league average in opponent 3-point metrics. They have struggled in particular against opposing guards of late, allowing 15 points to Kevin Huerter and 12 points to Malik Monk as two relevant player comparisons. Beasley should be able to put together a good showing here to begin the new week.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over/Under 31.5 Points

There is arguably no player in the NBA who is more consistent scoring the basketball than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He has scored at least 30 points in 76% of the games he played this season, including each of his last 8 trips to the hardwood. In his last 29 games, Gilgeous-Alexander has scored at least 31 points 22 times, including 8 of his last 10 road contests. Tonight, the Thunder will play the Lakers, which rank 28th in defensive rating since the All-Star break. During that stretch, they have allowed 24 points to Jamal Murray, 34 points to Jordan Poole, and 32 points to Stephen Curry as three notable examples. Gilgeous-Alexander should be able to get the job done for us on Monday.
