Monday’s NBA postseason schedule features a pair of highly-anticipated matchups, beginning with Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers traveling to Madison Square Garden to play the Knicks at 7:30 PM ET on TNT. Following the conclusion of that game, the Timberwolves and Nuggets will meet at 10:00 PM ET, with Nikola Jokic and company looking to avoid a dreaded 0-2 series hole.

Hart eclipsed this market number in 5 of 6 games in the opening round against the 76ers, but he also averaged 46.3 minutes per game in that series. Head coach Tom Thibodeau is not afraid to play his starters big minutes, but it would seem prudent to look for ways to limit the workload of guys like Hart in the early part of this series against the Pacers, if at all possible. Even the players in the best shape are unlikely to be able to sustain strong performances for an entire month of playoff basketball if they are asked to play nearly every minute of every game. Hart has eclipsed this market number in only 16 of 75 games this season when playing 44 minutes or fewer – the math favors the under.

Anthony Edwards Over/Under 28.5 Points
Anthony Edwards has arrived. Facing the Suns in the opening round of the playoffs, Edwards scored 33 points or more in 3 of the team’s 4 games, including a 40-piece to finish off the sweep. In Game 1 against the Nuggets, Edwards scored 43 points on 29 shot attempts. Other than a poor showing in Game 2 against Phoenix, Edwards has been playing at an extraordinarily high level in this postseason. Expect him to be aggressive looking for his shot again this evening as the Timberwolves look to steal both road games to begin this series.

Aaron Gordon Over/Under 4.5 Assists
Gordon had 6 assists in Game 1 against the Timberwolves, but he had only 8 potential assists. Typically, players will convert a little over half of their potential assists to actual assists, meaning that Gordon had an expected assists total of 4 or 5 in the opening game of this series.
During the postseason, Minnesota has allowed the 5th-fewest assists per game overall and the 3rd-fewest assists per game to the forward position. Gordon is unlikely to deliver a repeat performance as a strong facilitator this evening.
